Hamrun's 88th minute equaliser denies Gudja United it's first ever Premier League win.

Hamrun Spartans looked in better shape than Gudja during the first 45 minutes. 5 minutes into the match Gudja's Anderson De Barros lost possession in his own half, but Jonathan Debono turned into corner Jorge Soares Ailton's long distance shot. In the 16th minute Debono again blocks on Sofiane Lagzir. Just a few minutes later Lagzir again but this time his header went wide.

We had to wait till the 40th minute for Gudja's first highlight of the match as Rundell Winchester broke through the Hamrun Spartans defence but his shot went wide. 2 minutes from time, Anderson De Barros once again lost possession in his own half, and following a deflection Marco Criaco fired one home.

Gudja reacted very well immediately as the second half commenced and at the 48th minute, JUAN ANDRES BOLANOS headed the equaliser from an Aidan Friggieri corner. Hamrun tried to grab one back but Gudja Defence and Goalkeeper were on alert.

Gudja started to grow in shape and were now advancing from all areas of the pitch. At the 12th minute, Alexandre Santana Barroso tried his luck from direct free kick but goalkeeper Bartolo was ready for him and deflected the ball into corner. 4 minutes later it was Gabriel Mensah who dribbled past the Hamrun Spartans defenders but his low powerful shot was turned once again into corner.

Hamrun Spartans tried to react when at the 79th minute, Wilfred Domoraud headed low but Jonathan Debono was once again well positioned and saved very well. 2 minutes later, RUNDELL WINCHESTER beat all Hamrun Spartans defenders with the ball at his feet, advanced for 50 metres and put Gudja in front with a low placed shot.

4 minutes later, exactly at the 86th minute, Rundell Winchester once again beat the Hamrun Spartans defence but his perfect lob ended up hitting the post.

In the dying minutes of the match, Hamrun Spartans put all their efforts on the attack and as the 90 minutes struck, Darmanin headed into the net and levelled the score.
