Imanol Gonzalez Benac has just extended his stay at Gudja United FC. Imanol is now the second player that is extending his contract under newly appointed Head Coach Jesmond Zammit.
The 22-year-old is a tall Central Defender who can also play as a Left Back. He is from Argentina but possess also an Italian passport.
Gonzalez started his career in Argentina, his home country, where he played for Belgrano. In January 2019 he moved to Malta as he signed for Premier League side Senglea Athletic FC where he played for the second half of the season and was vital for the club’s salvation in Malta’s highest tier. In Summer 2019 Imanol signed for Italian Serie C side Casertana but returned to Malta in January 2020 when he joined our Club.
