THREE GOALS IN THREE MINUTES FOR HIBERNIANS

0 - 3
Full Time

After earning just two points from the previous four matches, Hibernians returned to winning ways as they scored three goals in three minutes towards the end of the first half to beat Gudja United 3-0 at the National Stadium on Sunday.

Hibernians move just one point behind fourth-placed Marsaxlokk and Birkirkara while Gudja United suffered their fourteenth defeat this season.

Hibernians took the lead on the 37th minute when a defender handled the ball inside the area and Alex Bruno converted from the penalty spot.

Two minutes later, the Paolites doubled the score courtesy of Jurgen Degabriele who hit home from close range following an assist from the left by Giannis Bastianos.

Hardly a minute passed and Hibernians scored the third goal, once again thanks to Jurgen Degabriele following an erratic clearance by Nanitelamio.
