Edison Bilbao Zarate and Nivaldo Rodrigues Ferreira are Gudja Utd’s new acquisitions.
Edison doesn’t need any presentation to the Maltese League as he played before for Qormi, Birkirkara, Balzan and Gzira amongst others. On the other hand Nivaldo is a new face in Malta as his previous experiences away from his country Brazil are counted in Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.
Both players will fill the void left after the departure of Tariq Al-Mahrooqi and Alexandre Santana.
After four successive draws, Balzan returned to winning ways as they defeated Gudja 2-0 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Sunday. A result which condemned both Gudja United and Sirens to playing in the Challenge League next season.
After earning just two points from the previous four matches, Hibernians returned to winning ways as they scored three goals in three minutes towards the end of the first half to beat Gudja United 3-0 at the National Stadium on Sunday.
