Gudja United kicked off the scoring with a breathtaking play in the 16th minute. Gabriel Mensah’s free-kick execution was nothing short of perfection, leaving Gzira’s goalkeeper, Darijan Zarkov, with no chance to stop it.

Within a mere two minutes, the tide of the game shifted in favour of Gzira. An impeccably timed pass from Andy Borg found Gabriel Bohrer Mentz, who adeptly directed the ball toward Lucas Macula, converting it from an advantageous position.

Just a minute following the equalizer, Adam Sane breezed past Gudja’s defender and elegantly lifted the ball over the Gudja goalkeeper, Yaren Somer.

In the 47th minute, Marcelo Dias embarked on an impressive run down the left flank, delivering a precise cross to Adama Sane. Sane, from close range, clinically dispatched the ball into the net, causing Gudja to falter in their motivation.

The 72nd minute witnessed James Arthur fouling Brooklyn Borg inside the penalty area. Gabriel Bohrer Mentz stepped up and converted the penalty, extending the lead to 1-4.

Gzira continued to assert their dominance, securing their fifth goal in the 88th minute through Brooklyn Borg and in the 92nd minute capitalizing on a rebound when Thaylor Aldama added one more to their tally, making the final score 1-6.
